Here it is June Already!

A couple of days ago, I wrote an entry, but for whatever reason, it didn’t get posted, so I’ll try again. It was about your opinion on whether picture books are easier to write than chapter books or novels. I have an extremely hard time writing picture books. A colleague of mine told me I “tell too much” and could never write picture books. Being a former schoolteacher, I guess I’m inclined to want to explain things and not take for granted that my readers know what’s going on, esp. in the case of historical fiction, which I enjoy so much. To avoid telling too much, I’ve taken to adding author’s notes at the end of my stories. Let me know if you like to read additional information at the end of a historical fiction novel. I sure do!
