Mario is a fourth-grade boy who fears he is somewhat weird. He keeps seeing hidden in images in the carpet, in numbers, tree branches and even in the folds of his classmate’s shirt. Of course, his classmates do find him a little “off the wall.” He sees so many hidden pictures that his attention is taken from his classwork. His teacher takes recess away from him and then moves him away from the window. Even that doesn’t work. When he has to stay after school, the teacher listens as he explains his problem. She wisely helps him undertand what his “problem” is. Do you think Mario will continue to see more hidden pictures? Do you think it’s a good thing or a bad one?
